In the Score from which I keyed in this Work it is pointed out that the Alto part would have been sung by men, and thus was really a 1st Tenor part (the Tenor part then being 2nd Tenor).
Also, No: 4a - the Trio "Thou rulest the raging of the sea" - is not part of the original set, but was added later.
